Steve Melero has earned a bachelors degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Human Performance from California Lutheran University. Steve has become a Performance Enhancement Specialist through the national academy of Sports Medicine. He has also received a certification through the Parisi Speed School and has studied the protocols of many other nationally recognized organizations such as NSCA and ACSM.
Over the years Steve has competed in many sports such as football, track, basketball and soccer. He earned the MVP award for track and field while he was in High school and “Best Receiver” award for football at Santa Barbara City College. Steve continued playing football while attending California Lutheran University. Currently Steve Melero is a competitive powerlifter. He took first place at the 2012 IPL World Powerlifting Championships for the 181 pound Raw Open Division through the USPA/IPL.
Steve’s hard work and dedication has allowed him to excel in many sports. He now takes these same qualities and applies them to his profession as a fitness and sports performance coach.
Steve has trained many athletes from the young rising star to the professional athlete. He takes pride in staying up to date by researching the most current science behind training. Steve was the Head Trainer for the Parisi Speed School for over two years and is now applying what he has learned over the years through his education and his experience to create an optimal training program with Team Breakthru! His passion for fitness and sports performance training allows Steve to help clients reach their goals.
